She is Here

My best friend is here now. Every time we get together we start out with good intentions and then fail miserably. This time I need it to be different. I am giving us Saturday as a free day. I have my weigh-in in the morning and then we can relax and just have a good day. Don't go hog wild but have fun. Then Sunday right back on plan.

I am thinking I am almost ready to get to the gym, tomorrow we are going to be shopping and stuff, but I would still like to squeeze in a trip to the gym if I can.

She brought me a whole suitcase filled with smaller clothes so that now I have an awesome wardrobe of cool clothes that actually fits. That ROCKS!!! I am loving this.

I am trying to figure out what to make for supper. I had bought turkey burgers until I figured out the points and realized they are 5 points each without the bun. NOT a good enough supper for me. Maybe I will make us a veggie chili or a low point soup. Any ideas?

hey girl, you hit the nail on the head there-- "have fun but don't go wild." it's all about the company, not the food...

I don't go by points but I will tell you my favorite lunch food right now and you can see...I nuke a baked potato and put fat free butter (like smart balance) then use packaged guacamole seasoning over that, then fat free cottage cheese on top for protein. This rocks green boxers to me, its balanced between carbs and protein, it is fiber and calcium, and it is spicy and creamy at the same time.
Now, caffeine. I need it. Heres what I do. I hate coffee without cream and sugar. So, I figured out the amount of caffiene (google it)in a cup of coffee, and purchase herbal supplements which contain vitamins and minerals, then see how many miligrams of caffiene is contained in them, and substitute the supplement for the coffee. This helps me in 2 ways, I remember to take supplements every morning, and I regulate my caffeine far more tightly than I ever did when drinking products which contain an indeterminate amount. Right now I am using a green tea diet supplement which also contains Chromium, both B's and green tea extract. It works for me. Have fun!
