Not too bad

Had a pretty good day today. I made a roast chicken with gravy and stuffing for my hubby and kids and I made a hash of potatoes, turnip, and cabbage for myself. It was yummy and as much as I wanted to have chicken and gravy, I remembered how badly I feel when I eat that way and stuck to my veggies. They were so good that everyone else had bunches with theirs too.

That is wonderful! Great job. Hopefully I can be that strong resisting things I shouldn't be eating. It's still hard for me.

Potatoes and turnips go really well together ! And cabbage, when it is cooked right, can actually taste slightly sweet. Dynamite combo there- I will have to try it myself . I bet onions or beets would fit in nicely with these as well. And congratulations for overcoming the temptation !
